I have been studying herbal remedies for years, but I had never thought about making a career of it until just now. You see, my interest in herbal remedies is purely an academic and a practical one. I am interested in how things work, and I am also interested in alternatives to the medical establishment. I have found it strange that doctors are so quick to prescribe antibiotics, but so slow to give any other kind of help. It seems like either you are sick with a bacterial infection, or else the doctor cannot help you. Herbal pills treat many more conditions than traditional medication seems to.

I actually opened my herbal drug store almost on impulse. I had been giving out herbal cures for a good long time, but had not been licensed as an herbalist. I was warned by the police that I could not continue to practice unlicensed herbalism, so I went and got my degree. When I was done, I decided to open an herbal drug store. In reality, I was still working out of my house, but now I had a more professional look. I had an herbal drug store counter in the front room, with row upon row of glass jars containing different herbs. That way, since I was doing it professionally now, it would make me look legitimate.
Offering herbal home remedies to my usual clients was rewarding, but I wanted to do a little bit more. Soon, I decided to start an online herbal drugstore. There are herbal drug stores all over the place, but most of them can't tell you where they get their supplies from. I wanted to start an herbal drug store that was a little bit more responsive to its community. Anyone who wanted to would be able to find out where any of my medication came from, get a guarantee that it was completely organically grown, and even observe the processing and harvesting of it. That way, my herbal drug store would be a cut above the others. It would offer people a guarantee that the stuff that they were buying was quality herbal home remedy.
You see, there are so many herbal drug stores that are untrustworthy. Because the FDA does not tightly control herbal medication, you can basically open an herbal drug store selling anything you want. If you are caught selling an impure herb, you can be punished, but people are very rarely caught. I wanted to provide a better way of doing things.

A health food store offers organic healthy foods
Back in the late seventies when I was in college I shared a house with nine other women. I knew two of the women from high school. Six of us share a kitchen on the main level of the house and four shared a kitchen in the lower level. It was interesting as college students to see how we all prepared meals. I made a lot of sandwiches and ate cold cereal. The woman that was considered our “house mother” ate only natural foods. She and her parents had lived in a commune that served only organic foods that were raised in the compound. One day we were the only two in the house. She asked me if I wanted to go to the health food store with her. I did not know there was such a place in the city where we attended college, so I agreed to go along. The health food store had organic foods which are free from chemicals and pesticides, local produce, whole grains, spices, dried fruits and organically grown vegetables, herbal teas, fruits and nutritional supplements. It was not very well cared for. I saw mouse droppings in several places and the place had a funky smell. I helped my house mate carry her things to the car and then into the house and I never set foot in a health food store for ten years, Read More...
